This sprawling Spanish stunner received a significant makeover and new furnishings throughout the home for an active and growing young family. Coming from a smaller home on the Westside, the need for more space, privacy and calm were key factors in their home search. We designed each space to reflect a warm, eclectic sensibility echoing soft hues, antique rugs and quality pieces with family friendly materials being top of mind.
A once dark and heavy kitchen was given a new lease on life with fresh millwork and wall paint, drawer hardware, floating wood shelves, custom Moroccan zellige tile backsplash, light fixtures, and new seating around the island and breakfast nook. The kitchen (heart of the home) became the star with a custom curved dining banquette, oval extension table and vintage wood and leather dining chairs with added seat cushions. Other renovation aspects throughout the home included: new cohesive interior paint throughout, unique light fixtures, refinished living room and library millwork, custom marble fireplace surrounds, and a fully outfitted pool house turned private recording studio.
